These dumbbells all share some common attributes. They will all save you an enormous amount of space. Also each has a simiar system for changing the weight which is quick and easy. They will all save you money, this does vary one which dumbbells you are looking to purchase. Now we will take a brief look at each set
This is by far the most popular set that Bowflex sells on Amazon. At the time of writing, they have 80% 5-star rating out of 3,954. They have been tried and tested and have come out as clear winners. Priced at $247.99 they are also amazing value for money. I have used the Rep Rubber Hex Dumbbell Set with Racks as a comparison to price. This is a set of 10 standard dumbbells with rack and it comes in at a price of $899.
Who are these for?
Anyone that wants to set up a home gym. With the amount of weight that the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells go up to (52.5lbs), and at the price point they will suit most people’s needs at home. Anyone that wants to get fit for lose weight they are a perfect companion.
The heaviest set that Bowflex currently makes. They are available on Amazon as singles or pairs. Again a great price over the comparison set of standard dumbbells. The single is $249.59 and the dual pair comes in at $599.99. With great reviews at the time of writing, these dumbbells have a 66% 5-star rating out of 615.
Who are these for?
These dumbbells are the same design as the SelectTech 552’s. The difference? They are simply heavier. If you are at a stage where you are looking at the 552’s and thinking that the weight is not enough, or you want to pack on some serious size then these are the dumbbells for you. Each dumbbell weighs 90 lbs. This I think would be more than enough for most home gym users. If you would require more weight than this you would have to go down the route of Olympic bars or single dumbbells.
These dumbbells break the design mold to Bowflex’s other SelectTech dumbbells. More compact and a square design over the traditional round they look great in any home/garage gym. With built-in Bluetooth, these dumbbells connect to your Android or IOS smartphone to record every aspect of your workout. Reps, sets, and form are all sent to the 3DT (Three Dimensional Trainer) for a complete training experience.
Who are these for?
The tech-savvy, the gadget geek. Coming in just slightly heavier than the SelectTech 552 at 60lbs the overriding plus to these dumbbells lies in the tech. If you are someone that loves the latest thing? Or find that apps make your life easier then these dumbbells are for you.
Final thoughts, what are the best Bowflex SelectTech adjustable dumbbells
Systems like these have made working out at home all the more accessible. Bowflex’s range has brought working out at home to the masses. More affordable and taking up less space than conventional dumbbells, it is hard to work out which one of the above points is more important, saving money or saving space. I think it is a question only you can answer.
Each system does have its pros. The Bowflex SelectTech 552 dumbbells are at a fantastic great price for what you get. At a weight that most people will find will fulfill all there needs.
The Bowflex SelectTech 1090 dumbbells are, if you need the weight all the dumbbell you will ever need. Coming in at 90 lbs each they allow you to perform any exercise.
Bowflex SelectTech 560 dumbbells, does everything but the lifting for you. A great looking set but at a higher price point over the Bowflex SelectTech 552.
Hopefully, in this post, I have managed to make your choice clearer on which set of Bowflex dumbbells to purchase?
